HEY HO! Estudio Creativo

WHO WE ARE

A multidisciplinary creative space in Elda

HEY HO! is a graphic arts, ceramics and creative learning studio: workshop, school and shop in one 188 m² space, where everything you see is made by hand.

Beatriz Marín Urbán at the studio

Hi, I'm Bea

Beatriz Marín Urbán, illustrator and founder of HEY HO! Studio. Fine Arts graduate from the Universitat Politècnica de València, with a Master's in Visual and Multimedia Arts and training in children's illustration at Escola Joso in Barcelona.

After years working in illustration and graphic design, I felt the need to come back to the tangible: getting my hands dirty, printmaking, clay. Out of that need (and a huge gap in creative leisure in the region) this studio was born: a place to learn artisan crafts with a contemporary eye.

What we believe in

With your hands

As an antidote to endless scrolling: manual, tangible processes. Printmaking, clay, ink and paper. Things that actually exist.

Low impact

All our techniques are water-based: no solvents, no toxic inks, lead-free glazes. The kiln only runs at full load.

Small groups

Twelve people per group, tops. You're not a number here: there's room, tools and attention for everyone.

Local community

A hybrid cultural space for Elda and the Medio Vinalopó: creativity for children, families and anyone who's up for it.

The space

188 m² in the centre of Elda, split between the gallery-shop (where the studio's production is displayed and sold), the big central workshop area with wooden tables, shelving and three pottery wheels, and the technical zone with the electric ceramic kiln, the heart of the studio.

  • Gallery and shop of in-house production
  • Workshop with 3 pottery wheels
  • Our own electric ceramic kiln
  • Wet area for ceramics and printmaking
